During the shutdown, our Missions efforts have focused on sharing Christ’s love and providing hope by helping those in need both locally and around the world. Within metro Atlanta, every week we have provided food for low-income families who have lost their jobs, fallen behind on bills/rent, and in some cases are living day-to-day in motels. In April, Holy Week gave us a unique opportunity to gift Bibles, devotionals, Easter baskets and food to men, women & children coming out of homelessness. For Mother’s Day, we were able to gift food, hygiene items and a card of encouragement for refugee and inner-city mothers, struggling to make ends meet.
Elsewhere, generous giving enabled us to provide streaming equipment to help train smaller and mid-size church pastors in how to use available media channels to shepherd their flocks during the global shutdown. Globally, we have continued to support full-time children’s facilities in India, Ethiopia and Ukraine. In addition, support has been sent to share the Gospel, provide healthcare and feed thousands in need in West Africa, Latin America, Indonesia and Siberia. Thank you so much for your continued support of Mount Paran Missions!
The nations are coming to us! Did you know that thousands of Refugees enter the U.S. right here in Atlanta? Most arrive & are settled in Clarkston, just outside the perimeter on the eastside of the city. We have an opportunity to embody the love of Christ, befriend and encourage families who’ve been displaced from their home countries. How can you help? ESL, resume assistance, and also cooking, baking and jewelry classes are all practical ways we can bless refugees. We are also planting a house church in Clarkston and need help with kids’ ministry there on Sunday afternoons.Learn More
Share the love of Christ with our homeless community & those transitioning out of homelessness by sharing an encouraging word, serving a meal, ministering to children and through a worship & prayer service for women. Teams serve monthly.Learn More
