Dr. David Cooper’s personal life mission is to give people hope in Christ.
He serves as Lead Pastor of the 11,000-member Mount Paran Church in Atlanta, Ga.
He holds his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lee University, a master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia, and a doctoral degree in ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary. He serves as adjunct professor in counseling at Richmont University in Atlanta. He serves as a member of Church of God International Executive Council. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. He also serves on the Chaplain’s Prayer Committee for the Georgia State House of Representatives.
He is a featured speaker for businesses, schools, conferences and churches where he motivates people to reach their full potential.
He is a guitarist who performs solo guitar as well as a singer/songwriter who plays lead guitar with the band Open Door for churches, festivals and prisons. His music is available on iTunes and www.opendoorband.com.
His messages are featured on the radio program, Discover Life and streamed live on Sundays. He and his wife Barbie have two children.
